Using a Motorcycle Race Stand

Time to break the myth that lifting a motorcycle on race stands requires at least two people. It doesn't, but only if you know the right procedure.

Before starting, remember that a front stand can only be used after the motorcycle is already up on a rear stand – never try to lift a motorcycle with just the front stand because it's likely to tip over.

Brace the motorcycle with one hand and hold it upright by grabbing the tall section or passenger seat strap. Then secure the race stand under the swingarm or spools and apply pressure to the handle so it lifts the motorcycle off the ground. Then move to the front and repeat the process with the front stand.
To remove the stands start by taking down the front first, then the rear. Set the motorcycle back on the side stand and you're set. Not that difficult, right...
