The Alpinestars J-6 Waterproof Boots
Full-on motorcycle boots are great, and while it’s hard to compete against them from a protective point of view, they can be bettered in many other areas. The draw to the stubby Alpinestars J-6 boots was firstly their stylish suede and full-grain leather look – I could wear them anywhere, so no need to carry a set of spare shoes.I was also impressed of build; ankle and heel protection, an abundance of padding in key impact areas, and midsole reinforcement owing to an insert add up to make a CE-level 2 boot.
And the Alpinestars J-6 boots are waterproof. I’ve ridden countless times in the wet, and they do indeed always keep the water from reaching my socks; I’m impressed, and also by the level of comfort, meaning you stay comfy whether you’ve ridden or walked in them all day.
The Alpinestars J-6 boots lace up really tight, making you feel very secure above your ankle. I’ve had a few pairs of low boot before, but none as good as these.
