The 2017 Ducati Supersport - Legendary Bike is Back

Ducati is bringing back the legendary Supersport. The 1974 Ducati 750 Supersport Desmo was Ducati’s first production motorcycle to be powered by an L-twin with the desmodromic valve system, and Supersports were in Ducati’s lineup off and on through 2007.

With styling strongly influenced by the Panigale series, the new Ducati Supersport is powered by the same liquid-cooled, 937cc Testastretta 11º L-twin found in the Ducati Hypermotard 939, which makes a claimed 113 horsepower and 96.7Nm of torque. It has riding modes (Sport, Touring and Urban), Brembo M4.32 Monobloc radial front calipers and three-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels fitted with the new Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires.

Rider and passenger ergonomics are more relaxed than on Ducati’s superbikes, and the Supersport has a height-adjustable windscreen, a 16 liters fuel tank, a 210 kilograms kerb weight and 810mm seat height.

The Ducati Supersport has fully adjustable Marzocchi front forks and a Sachs preload/rebound-adjustable rear shock, and is available with Ducati Red/Saturn Grey body work, a Ducati Red frame and Matt Black wheels. The Ducati Supersport S has fully adjustable Ohlins suspension, Ducati Quickshift an a color-coordinated rear seat cover, and color options include Ducati Red with Matt Black wheels or Star White Silk with Glossy Red wheels, both with a Ducati Red frame of course.
