The New Suzuki Shogun 125 EPI with Fuel-Injection

The Suzuki Shogun 125, it goes fast and acceleration is excellent, handles like a dream and looks good. It's the brand new EPI fuel-injected 125cc Suzuki Shogun 125i. If you thought scooters are boring, the Suzuki Shogun 125i will change your mind forever!

The Suzuki Shogun 125i EPI is powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke SOHC engine. With a 53.5mm bore and 55.2mm stroke, producing a compression ratio of 9.6:1. The EPI (fuel-injection) system for the Suzuki Shogun 125i is a bit different than the one we find on the latest Suzuki Hayate 125i, the Suzuki EPI system is more simple and less precise than the Suzuki DCP-FI fuel-injection system.

You cannot, buy a Suzuki Shogun 125 EPI yet. But Suzuki Thailand will, hopefully, launch the Shogun 125 EPI within a few weeks.

With a kerb weight of 105kg, or 106kg for the model with electric starter, the 10.6 horsepower make for entertaining performance. We did not conduct a full road test, but the Suzuki Shogun 125 EPI was regularly doing an indicated 110km/h on straight, traffic-free stretches. Sure, measured top speed probably wouldn't be more than 100km/h, but it's the way the Suzuki Shogun 125 EPI gets up to speed - the 4-speed semi-automatic transmission is easy and smooth as silk - stepping off the line with an angry buzz, and then howling relentlessly all the way up to its top whack - is what makes it so much fun to ride. The Suzuki Shogun 125 EPI is surely an aggressive little machine - definitely not scared to take on bigger, more powerful motorcycles or scooters. Leaves you with a grin from ear to ear on your mug every time you ride the Suzuki Shogun 125 EPI.

I'm looking forward to test this new Shogun, my last shogun i rode it all the way to Chang-rai from Phatumtani and back using NO.1 highway. I made a couple of stops for gas and snacks.
