Hero - Erik Buell Racing 250cc Sportsbike Coming

The urge to get some more market share in Asia, Hero MotoCorp is on a fast lane as the latter prepare to unveil their indigenously developed 250cc sportsbike pretty soon.

The new Hero MotoCorp sportsbike is developed in close collaboration with their USA technology partner, Erik Buell Racing (EBR), the new Hero sportsbike promise to bring along cutting-edge technology and next-generation styling with the motorcycle and seem to be determined to counter and grab some market share in the quarter-liter segment.

Currently the key players in the 250cc sportsbike segment are Honda with the CBR250R, Kawasaki with the Ninja 250.
While the initial development of the new 250cc motorcycle is being done at the Erik Buell Racing center in Wisconsin, USA, the complete development and manufacturing of the motorcycle will be done at Hero's manufacturing plants in India.

The newly developed Hero 250cc sportsbike will be introduced in early 2014, the company has plans to start the production for export not long after that. The 250cc motorcycle is being developed with a global market in mind, not just for the domestic market as most products.
