2008 Kawasaki KLX 300R Officially Introduced in Thailand

The new 2008 Kawasaki KLX 300R is one of the first bigger engine motorcycle official on sale in Thailand. The Kawasaki KLX 300R offers a compact, quick-turning package that's well-suited to tight trails or long days exploring off the beaten-path. With a tractable engine and comfortable chassis, the KLX300R is the ideal partner for off-road adventures. Thanks to a liquid-cooled four-stroke engine, perimeter frame and plush suspension, this Kawasaki gives off-road riders the balance of power and handling they desire.

Designed to be ultra-compact, the Kawasaki KLX300R's liquid-cooled ultra-compact 292cc 4-stroke single cylinder engine features dual overhead cams activating four valves atop an Electro-fusion-coated aluminum cylinder, this incredibly hard cylinder coating which is highly-resistant to wear and provides superior heat transfer with less weight. The cylinder head has 4-valve's which provide maximum possible valve area for optimum intake and exhaust flow. For the intake Kawasaki uses a 34mm Semi-flat Slide CVK carburetor. The 34mm carburetor provides a quick throttle response, under all conditions. The KLX 300R also has Kawasaki Automatic Compression Release (KACR), which to Kawasaki's specifications provides quick and easy starting of the bike.

The Kawasaki KLX 300R comes with a 6-gear transmission, with gear-driven engine (counter) balancer which ensures that the engine runs smoothly from idle to high rpm's with minimal vibration.

The engine is wrapped in a high-tensile steel perimeter frame based on the design of Kawasaki's KX 250 motocross bike. This is the design of Kawasaki's championship-winning KX motocross models.. It has a 26.5-degree steering angle and shorter wheelbase contribute to quick handling characteristics. Frame is built of box-section and tubular high-tensile steel

The KLX300R comes fully loaded with equipment to handle the rigors of trail riding, and is covered by a six-month limited warranty. Standard items include headlight and taillight, odometer, side-stand, hand guards, snail-type chain adjusters for quick rear-wheel removal and quick adjustment of the O-ring chain, a Forest friendly and service-approved spark arrestor, and a large fuel tank with reserve petcock.

The recommended Thai retail price is for this bike 230,000 Baht, which is to our feeling a bit high the same bike costs in the USA US$ 4,949.00 (+/-168,500 Baht). This is a recommended retail price and we do not sell this or any other bike.
